Congratulations to our 2011 Competitive Companies for their amazing performance at That's Entertainment Nationals in Lancaster, PA!
Awards include: 1st Place High Score Junior Soloist, Tyler Holloway; 1st Place High Score Senior Soloist, Dion Pratt, 1st Place High Score, Emmanuel Collazzo; 1st Place High Score Senior Duet, Dion Pratt and Tyler Holloway; 1st Place High Score Senior Group/Line/Production, "In the Air Tonight", the Senior Lyrical Company. Dancers also received the Overall High Score of the competition with a total score of 298.7. Congratulations to Miss Julie for Best Choreography for "in the Air Tonight"!

The S.P.A.A. Competition Dance Company recently competed at That's Entertainment Performing Arts Competition.
Awards included 1st Place High Score Senior Solo; 1st Place Hi Score Senior Group/Line Production; 1st Place High Score Junior Solo, Level 1 and Level 2; 1st Place High Score Senior Duet; Overall Top Score of Competition, with a perfect score of 300 points, Dion Pratt, for his contemporary solo. Senior Hip Hop Company was also nominated for the Entertainer of the Year Award, to compete at Nationals in July.
Congratulations to all who competed!

Company members recently competed in Dance USA Dance Championships in Hartford, CT.
Students were awarded Several 1st place Overall High Scores, including Top overall Junior scoring Routine "Right Now", and Top overall Teen scoring Routine, "Falling Slowly".
Also among top honors, was the Most Entertaining Award for "Circus", and Miss Dance USA, Miss Aubrey Sierer. Congratulations to our performers!

Stratford Performing Arts Academy was recently honored with

"The BEST STUDIO AWARD", at Access Broadway Competition, in Mystic, CT.

Students were also awarded "Top Soloists", "Top Groups", "Most Entertaining" and nominees for "Best Choreography".

Also adding to the weekends events, was the recipient of the Access Broadway 2011 scholarship, Miss Tyler Holloway.

Congratulations to our Dance Companies for their outstanding performances at That's Entertainment Nationals, in Lancaster, PA!
Students were awarded several High Score awards including, Top Junior and Senior Soloist, Top Junior Duet, Top Senior Groups, and Best Student Choreography Award. The Overall High Score of the entire competition was awarded to Dion Pratt and Tyler Holloway for their lyrical duet "Falling Slowly".

We did it Again!! Competition companies competed in That's Entertainment Competition in Windsor, CT on April 24th and 25th. Our amazing students were awarded Overall High Scores for Junior and Senior Solos, Senior Trio, Senior Group, as well as two choreography awards and the Overall High Score of the Competition for Senior Modern..."Stairway to Heaven". Congratulations to all!

APOLLO WINNERS!!

Congratulations our students who have recently competed in Amateur Nite at the Apollo, in New York City! Performers were Hannah Hayes-McGhee, Kenya Wright, Dion Pratt, Tyler Holloway, Julianna Cruz and Kelsey Senteio.
Julianna and Dion won 2nd place at their performances and will now perform in the "Show Off" round, in May. We are so proud of all of you!! View their performance on the Apollo website.

Once again, our Dance Companies are congratulated on a great performance at the Dance USA Performing Arts Competition, on March 6th in Hartford. The studio was awarded more than 25 Overall High Scores, including 1st Place in the Mini, Petite, Teen and Senior Divisions. Congratulations to Julianna Cruz for the Overall Entertainment Award and High Scoring Senior Soloist, and Congratulations to Miss Julie and Miss Brittany and the entire Senior Company for the Overall top Score in the competition for "Man in the Mirror"!

JOIN US FOR ZUMBA!! Zumba is a blend of latin and carribean rhythms that create an easy to follow, and great workout ! Classes are held on Monday @ 6:30, Thursday @ 6:30 and Saturday at 11 a.m. Space is limited but there is always time to register. Drop ins are welcome! Our Competition Dance Companies competed in That's Entertainment Nationals in Atlantic City, from July 15 thru the 19th. Congratulations to our performers on a job well done!
Special Awards include...Junior Scholarship winner-Nora Bannister; Senior Overall High Score Soloist-Catie Simon; Senior Overall High Score Duet-Anisa Nieves and Caitlin Sanford; Senior Overall High Score Group-"A Walk in the Park", Senior Tap Company. Also, Highest scoring routine of the competition.."A Walk in the Park", scoring a 297.6. This routine, choreographed by Miss Julie and Miss Brittany, was also awarded Best Choreography.

HOLLYWOOD VIBE

Tyler Holloway (Hollywood Vibe, Regional winner of Junior Dancer of the Year), and Dion Pratt (Hollywood Vibe, Regional winner of Senior Dancer of the Year), recently competed in Orlando, Florida at the Hollywood Vibe Nationals. Tyler and Dion performed a duet in the Pre-qualification competition and National competiton, and received a PLATINUM, and OVERALL HIGH SCORE WINNER in the Intermediate division.
Tyler also performed a Lyrical solo and received a 1st place HI GOLD and OVERALL SCORE for both her prequalification and National score.
They also had the opportunity to perform as with the Dancer's of the Year winners, at Universal Studio on July 2nd.

Congratulations to the NDA Senior Company, for their recent performance at the Joyce Theater in NYC. A great experience and fun for all! This performance was a fundraising event for Dancers Responding to Aids.

Nu Delta Alpha Dance Honor Society expresses their thanks to all who visited our face painting booth at Stratford Day, and our performance at the Baldwin Center.

We appreiciate your support of the Arts! Proceeds from face painting benefit the NDA Scholarship Foundation for tuition scholarships.

Najja Salmon was recently crowned the new Miss Hal Jackson for 2009-2010! We are so very proud of her!

Najja has been dancing with Stratford Academy of Dance for over 10 years and a member of our dance company for 6 years! Miss Amber Choreographed her dance solo, "Kiss from a Rose" that she performed as her talent portion of the Miss Hal Jackson Pageant.

This marks the 4th Miss Hal Jacksaon Pageant winner that Miss Amber has choregraphed a dance solo for! She also coached some of the winners in modeling through the modeling program offered at Stratford Academy of Dance.
